Hello there lovely people!
Can you believe we are already in JULY!! I mean whoa! Where did the year go? We are already half way through 2017..
As you may know, I have been pretty busy with everything! We will be starting school this week and not mention tons of new projects will be coming up! So 2017 definitely has become my busiest year yet!
I wanted to share with y'all this super simple look! This look is perfect for summer weddings, church, girls night out and rally anytime you want to get dolled up but not have to put in too much effort lol.
So here is the deetz!

This dress is one of my absolute favorites! Look... I have huge thighs so wearing skirts and dresses of a certain length tend to make me uncomfortable, especially when I will be sitting down! I always feel like my legs are being hogtied together so I don't accidentally flash someone! But seriously, I love longer dresses, tea length and knee length. I feel like it adds elegance and of course modesty. This dress is from Forever 21 plus and was a total steal for under $25!

My shoes are from Enzo Angiolini. I found them at Nordstrom for less than $70! They are about about a 4in pump and definitely worth the buy.
I opted for simple accessories for this look. My wedding ring and a simple strand of pearls. Pearls are one of my favorite accessories! They are universal, elegant and timeless. In fashion, timeless always wins!

PS..My husband always gets the best candids of me lol!
I hope you enjoyed this look. What is your favorite piece or type of jewelry to wear? Let me know in the comments below!

asking if he can see my glow hahaha

what did you tell me to do??

Hello there lovely people!

Today marks day 12 of my journey and I must admit, I am feeling pretty proud! I have been able to maintain my intake and go even harder in the gym. Something that has been on my goal list for a while.
While this weekend is a long one (holiday), I plan on taking full advantage of the time I will have with extra help from the hubs.

So, here is how day 12 went!

Workouts:
I wanted to do 3 miles this morning but my body struggled to get in one. I ran outside and even though it was extremely humid, I pushed myself to the limit. Once inside I completed a 12 minute arm video that I found on Pinterest. Let me tell you this, my arms were sore, I felt light headed and like I was about to throw up lol. So... I guess I really pushed myself! Here is the video that I found!

Meals:
Breakfast- Oatmeal
Snack- House salad w/ chicken
Lunch- Tuna, baby carrots, crackers
Dinner- Street taco salad with chicken
Snack- Strawberries, Pb

Goals:
Drink more water
Increase miles

Another crazy day so my eating schedule was way off! I did however manage to keep making healthy choices and keep my intake within my goals.

Tomorrow is going to be a tough one! While I have opted to stay in for the holiday, I know there will still be temptation around! Now... to plan my cheat meal!

Do you have a cheat meal? What is your go to cheat meal? Let me know in the comments below!

Hello there lovely people!

Day 11 is a wrap and today I hit one of my goals! The kiddos stayed the night with their nana so I was able to get some good sleep in! I actually slept until 9 a.m.! But anyways, this week I will be preparing myself to do a photo update, I feel like I can see the changes.. just not sure if anyone else can.

So here is how day 11 went!

Workouts:
Completed my goal and ran a 5k outside! According to my Nike + Run Club, this was my fastest one yet! Have I told you how much I love Nike's apps! They are amazing! These next two days, I will be attempting 3 miles outside again! The hubs has some time off so I will be able to rake extra time to get it done!

Meals:
Lunch-House salad with chicken
Snack-Tuna, sweet potato, strawberry
Snack-Banana
Snack- Apple, Pb
Dinner- Street taco salad (a street taco in salad form)

My meals today were completely out of wack. I didn't have breakfast because I started my run as soon as I got up. Then when I returned and cleaned up, It was almost lunch time ha! So I just started the day with lunch.

Goals:
Drink more water
Run longer during outside 3 miles

Do you use any Nike apps? Let me know which ones in the comments below!

Hello there lovely people!
Let me tell you this, I have more than enjoyed my Sabbath today! The kiddos went to my moms house this evening to stay the night so my hubby and I took some time to walk around the city, get fresh juice and coffee and really just enjoy our time of rest and each other. Today was great!

Here is how it went!

Workouts:
The treadmill is still messing up in our gym so I had to use the elliptical trainer instead. I still did my 3 miles on my Nike Run Club app. ( I love Nike's apps, they are so useful and help keep me focused!)
Tomorrow is the Just Do It Sundays with Nike and I will be running my first 5k outside in a long time! Please pray for me lol. No seriously..

Meals:
Breakfast- Oatmeal, sausage
Snack- Banana
Lunch- Fresh juice ( mango, pineapple, strawberry)
Dinner- Left over Chipotle style salad
Snack- Banana

Goals:
Run 5k outside
Drink more water

Today I had a little too much sugar from fruit. We were out walking around when it hit me.. I need to eat lol. So I went with what sounded good!
Do you have any plans for the 4th of July? See how I cope with trying to eat clean when I am at a get together or bbq HERE!
